How do I summarize a video?
Paste any YouTube URL into the box on the homepage and press Summarize. Results appear in seconds for cached videos, or within 30–60 seconds for new ones.
Why is my summary in the wrong language?
Use the language selector before submitting a URL to choose your preferred summary language. You can summarize any video into English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, and more — regardless of the original video language.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
On the web app, go to your Profile page and click Manage Subscription. On iOS, subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings under Subscriptions.
I was charged but my account still shows the free tier.
This is usually resolved automatically within a few minutes. If it persists after 10 minutes, sign out and back in. If the issue continues, email us at support@y2sum.ai with your account email and we'll fix it promptly.
Why can't a video be summarized?
Some videos cannot be summarized because they have no captions or transcript (e.g. live streams, music videos, or videos with disabled captions), the video is private or age-restricted, or the content is too short to generate a meaningful summary.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@y2sum.ai with the subject line "Delete my account" from your registered email address. We'll process the request within 5 business days.
