1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Y2Sum Studio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Y2Sum Studio provides AI-generated summaries of YouTube videos and a suite of learning tools including flashcards, quizzes, notes, collections, mind maps, AI micro-podcasts, and the Composer writing assistant. The Service is available in a free tier and a paid Studio subscription tier. Features and daily usage limits vary by tier.

3. Accounts

You may use basic features without an account. Creating an account (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In) is required to access Studio features, save content, and manage a subscription. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may delete your account at any time via the iOS app or by contacting us at privacy@y2sum.ai.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Studio subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. On the web, billing is processed by Stripe. On iOS, billing is processed by Apple In-App Purchase and governed by Apple's terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or through the App Store. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automate requests in bulk without permission
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service
• Submit content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
• Reproduce or redistribute summaries for commercial purposes without attribution
• Circumvent rate limits or access controls

6. AI-Generated Content

Summaries and other AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misrepresentations of the original video content. Y2Sum Studio does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any AI output for a particular purpose. AI-generated content is intended as a starting point, not a replacement for the original source.

7. Intellectual Property

YouTube video transcripts and content are owned by their respective creators and subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. Y2Sum Studio accesses only publicly available transcript data. AI-generated summaries produced by Y2Sum Studio are provided for personal, non-commercial informational use. Content you create within the Service (notes, collections, Composer documents) remains yours.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Y2Sum Studio is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any summary or AI-generated output.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
